This is a fully remote role where you will work across multiple clients, helping to build, clean up, and improve accounting functions in a hands-on environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
  • Maintain general ledger and ensure GAAP compliance
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting accuracy
  • Work across multiple clients and industries in a fast-paced setting

Qualifications

  • 4–6 years of accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and month-end close
  • Experience with accounting systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite, etc.)

This is a fully remote role where you will work across multiple clients, acting as a hands-on Controller to help build, stabilize, and scale accounting functions.

Responsibilities

  • Own month-end close and financial statement preparation across multiple clients
  • Oversee accounting operations including GL, AP/AR, payroll, and cash management
  • Ensure GAAP compliance, including revenue recognition, accruals, and reporting
  • Lead audits, manage external auditors, and maintain internal controls
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
  • Implement and improve accounting systems, processes, and controls

Qualifications

  • CPA or Master’s in Accounting required
  • 8–12+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
  • Experience managing teams and multiple entities or clients
  • ERP systems experience (NetSuite, Oracle, etc.) and advanced Excel skills

Eventus is a finance and accounting consulting firm that partners directly with CFOs and executive teams to support financial reporting, accounting operations, and strategic finance initiatives. This is a fully remote role where you will work across multiple clients, leading SEC reporting and technical accounting efforts while advising on complex accounting matters and ensuring compliance with US GAAP and SEC requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation and review of SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and other public filings) across multiple clients
  • Draft and review financial statements, footnotes, and MD&A disclosures
  • Research and document technical accounting issues, including preparation of accounting memos
  • Advise clients on complex accounting matters and new accounting standards (ASC 606, 842, 805, 718, etc.)
  • Partner with executives, auditors, and legal teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting
  • Manage and improve the SEC reporting process, including timelines, controls, and documentation
  • Support IPO readiness, M&A transactions, and capital markets activities
  • Assist in building and maintaining SOX controls and compliance frameworks
  • Mentor and guide junior team members across engagements

Qualifications

  • CPA required
  • 8–12+ years of experience in SEC reporting and technical accounting
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements (Reg S-K / S-X)
  • Background in public accounting (Big 4 or national firm) and/or public company reporting
  • Experience preparing 10-K and 10-Q filings
  • Proven ability to research and document technical accounting conclusions
  • Experience working in fast-paced, multi-client or consulting environments preferred

Eventus is a finance and accounting consulting firm that partners directly with CFOs and executive teams to support financial reporting, accounting operations, and strategic finance initiatives. This is a fully remote role where you will work across multiple clients, supporting financial reporting valuation engagements including purchase price allocations, equity valuations, and complex securities analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Perform financial reporting valuations including 409A valuations, purchase price allocations (ASC 805), and equity compensation valuations (ASC 718) across multiple clients
  • Build and maintain valuation models including DCF, market approach, and option pricing models (OPM, PWERM, Black-Scholes)
  • Value intangible assets such as customer relationships, technology, trademarks, and non-compete agreements
  • Prepare valuation reports and technical memorandums supporting audit and financial reporting requirements
  • Analyze complex capital structures and perform fair value analysis for debt and equity instruments
  • Partner with client management, auditors, and internal teams to support valuation conclusions and respond to inquiries
  • Support goodwill impairment testing (ASC 350) and other financial reporting valuation needs
  • Contribute to multiple engagements simultaneously in a fast-paced, client-facing environment

Qualifications

  • 8–12+ years of valuation experience within a valuation advisory firm, consulting firm, or Big 4 practice
  • Strong experience with financial reporting valuations including 409A, ASC 805 (PPA), and ASC 718
  • Proven ability to build valuation models and prepare valuation reports independently
  • Experience valuing intangible assets and complex securities
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP valuation guidance (ASC 718, 805, 820, 350)
  • Experience working directly with auditors and clients
  • Background in Big 4 or leading valuation advisory firms (Kroll, Stout, A&M, etc.) preferred
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
